Target Structural has received a CITB Training Grant

Target Structural to train site operatives using the grant from CITB

Target Structural Ltd has been awarded funding from the CITB awarding body to progress training for its employees.

Earlier this month CITB approved funding of nearly £4,000 under their Skills and Training Fund initiative in order to enhance the skill set of employees within the construction industry.  The funding received will allow three members of staff to progress to an NVQ 6 (equivalent to a Bachelor Degree) in Construction Management, an NVQ 4 in Construction Supervision and the SSSTS Site Safety course, respectively.

Target Structural is committed to maintaining its high level of site safety and competency on site, and this grant enables Target Structural to achieve those goals. In addition, Target Structural will be able to restructure existing teams and increase capacity to support its franchisees and offer structural solutions throughout the UK.

Philip King of Target Structural said that the news was ‘very welcome’.  He went on to say ‘the unique nature of our products and their ability to repair existing damage and provide stable foundations with minimal disruption means that demand for our services has increased to a national level.  This funding will enable employees to satisfy current demand, create new opportunities and have the empowerment to seek further career progression.’
